This town of 21,500 people consists of 68 square kilometers and is an agriculture-based community located along the western border of the Niagara Peninsula, along the Southern shores of Lake Ontario. The Niagara Escarpment towers over the town, peaking here at its tallest point in the region.
Primarily a residential community, the town’s commerce is driven by tender fruit farming, wine making and service industries with large-scale expansion of orchards and vineyards. Grimsby is within a commuting distance to the cities of Hamilton and St. Catharines, but maintains a lower cost of living. Beamer Memorial Park, atop the Niagara Escarpment, is a renowned hiking and bird-watching area, with a panoramic view of Lake Ontario. The Festival at the 40 (Forty Mile Creek) features wine gardens, food & entertainment.
