The heart of Niagara is located at the geographically highest point in Niagara called the Fonthill Kame. The town of 15,000 residents covers a 125 km area. Its rolling hills reach into the beautiful Short Hills Provincial Park, along the Niagara Escarpment. Pelham is 90% residential with a small, light industrial base. Pelham also has its share of tender fruit and greenhouse operations. The urbanized Fonthill area has undergone a building boom over the past decade and recently approved a new urban boundary expansion area with a potential of 2,000 homes.

Attractions include the Steve Bauer Trail system; Pelham Art Festival; Fenwick Lions Carnival and the nations oldest living Comfort Maple tree.
