The Township of West Lincoln is an agriculture-based community, consisting of many small villages spread over nearly 400 square kilometers of land. Located along the western border of the peninsula, it’s the largest geographical area in the region with the smallest population base – fewer than 12,000 residents.

Like many rural communities, West Lincoln is best discovered by cycling or driving along its quiet, scenic country roads, through sprawling farmland and meandering rivers. Twenty Mile Creek and the Welland River offer canoeing and kayaking opportunities. West Lincoln offers a wide selection of rural Bed and Breakfasts for weekend getaways.

Country fairs and festivals are a mainstay in West Lincoln’s villages,such as the annual Frolic on the Twenty and Smithville Fall Fair.
