Maid of the Mist Boat Tours

Journey Behind the Falls

 

In 1889, the Niagara Parks Commission decided to build a tunnel through the rock to exit well behind the Falls. An elevator takes you down to a thunderous up close view of Niagara Falls. This behind the scenes look at the Falls is an attraction not to miss. Open Year Round.

 

White Water Walk

 

Take an elevator to the bottom of the Gorge and enjoy a walk along the boardwalk adjacent to the mighty rapids of the Niagara River. This is where scenes from the movie Superman II were filmed.

 

Legends on the Niagara

 

Built along the mighty Niagara River just upstream from the majestic Falls, Legends on the Niagara has been carved out the historic terrain and is situated adjacent to the site of the 1814 Battle of Chippawa and is the home of the 2004 BMO Canadian Women’s Open.

Niagara Parks Greenhouse

 

This attraction was constructed by The Niagara Parks Commission in 1945. In 1980 a reception centre and display house were added to the original 11,000 sq. ft. greenhouse. It is also home to several beautiful tropical songbirds from around the world.

Floral Clock & Gardens

 

One of the most sought after horticultural destinations on the North Parkway is the Floral Clock. Originally built by Ontario Hydro in 1950, this site features a floral design with upwards of 16,000 carpet bedding plants.

 

Queenston Heights


The birthplace of Canada, the home of Brock’s Monument, as well as the Laura Secord Monument; picnickers have used this park for generations. Facilities include two picnic pavilions, washrooms and more.

 

Royal Niagara Golf Course


Nestled beneath the beautiful Niagara Escarpment, the course at Royal Niagara takes full advantage of the landscape, with fairways traveling up the escarpment, tees located on the brink of the historic Welland canal and holes finishing along the old iron rail bridge.

 

Shaw Festival


One of North Americas largest repertory theatres, offering plays of George Bernard Shaw, along with his contemporaries. The season runs from April through November in three different theatres, with lots of choices.
